The joys of forum debate.

I enjoy a good "mature" debate. Funny how many though struggle to remain civil and adult about what they're discussing.
A decent discussion is an exchange of views, taking on board what each party has said (you don't necessarily have to agree) without becoming insulting or petty.
It really isn't that difficult.

I think the problem is that so many people suffer from conformation bias and it causes polarity. It seems these days, nobody goes into a debate with an open mind. And when people get so rude, those who do enter with open minds soon close them.

@Jayciedubb Fair point and definitely some truth in that I think.

@Lanie78 hahaha.. I thought about you earlier when I was on reddit. I made a comment on a video of a poodle chasing a black bear out of its house. All I said was that that's what poodles were bred for in france, was for bear hunting. Meaning, it shouldn't be a surprise that the poodle is not scared of the bear. That's all I meant.

Of course, some sjw had to come and give me an education on the way poodles hunt bears and blah blah blah and they would never stand a chance one-on-one with a bear and blah blah blah. And because of his approach, I got defensive. I don't like to be lectured. Especially in public . Especially especially on subjects I'm already aware of. I feel like people might go with that flow and start thinking I'm some sort of advocate for mixed animal fighting or something like that.

But I took it easy on the little warrior. I didn't point out the obvious that we just saw it happen in the video and the Bear Lost. LOL anyway , I thought I'd share my recent experience on the matter... if it matters LOL
