The joys of forum debate.

I enjoy a good "mature" debate. Funny how many though struggle to remain civil and adult about what they're discussing.
A decent discussion is an exchange of views, taking on board what each party has said (you don't necessarily have to agree) without becoming insulting or petty.
It really isn't that difficult.
🙄😂
[big][c=A69800]Sure but it is tiring to have answer after answer targeted by the same group of people who attack and harass one person (me in this case..)

Look as it is sadly happening on a one way street as they attack and harass whereas it is NOT done to them. How civil can one be towards all these accounts targeting her or him and no one helping and or asking if the person is OK..

Especially when they are twisting words/what is typed to fit a certain narrative/agenda or even to make the person they are harassing look like the bad one.

They are first to comment on an answer rudely so they should get back what they do to others (karma hitting them) some hate this and block and some even do NOT like to discuss as THEY have opinions different to someone else so he or she does not listen to the other opinions even if it is the TRUTH..

Getting harassed and attacked by a certain group of people takes a toll on someone and they do not seem to notice and or care about how the other person is feeling.

Also should not cater to a certain group of people just coz they are delicate snowflakes who get triggered and butthurt easily.. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Oh and people are bad with communicating online..[/c][/big]

@PrincessRoarBuddy ...I'm mostly curious but it's also hard to read and looks like you're yelling.

I think the problem is that so many people suffer from conformation bias and it causes polarity. It seems these days, nobody goes into a debate with an open mind. And when people get so rude, those who do enter with open minds soon close them.

@Jayciedubb Fair point and definitely some truth in that I think.

@Lanie78 hahaha.. I thought about you earlier when I was on reddit. I made a comment on a video of a poodle chasing a black bear out of its house. All I said was that that's what poodles were bred for in france, was for bear hunting. Meaning, it shouldn't be a surprise that the poodle is not scared of the bear. That's all I meant.

Of course, some sjw had to come and give me an education on the way poodles hunt bears and blah blah blah and they would never stand a chance one-on-one with a bear and blah blah blah. And because of his approach, I got defensive. I don't like to be lectured. Especially in public . Especially especially on subjects I'm already aware of. I feel like people might go with that flow and start thinking I'm some sort of advocate for mixed animal fighting or something like that.

But I took it easy on the little warrior. I didn't point out the obvious that we just saw it happen in the video and the Bear Lost. LOL anyway , I thought I'd share my recent experience on the matter... if it matters LOL

Society has gone ary
People think their opinion is the only opinion and try to shove it down our throats
Don't know what the fix is but it needs to be fixed
