I have noticed that NEW users are not able to see all of the users on SW when they open their account. I am not sure why they are doing this.
When my friend started a new account I could see her but she couldn’t not interact with me.
I submitted a ticket and they told me this.
I have noticed this happening again with NEW accounts. All the legacy accounts (no NEW tag) can see the NEW accounts and we can comment on the posts but NEW accounts can’t see all of us.
I found this statement in regards to an algorithm in place to restrict contact between users.
I believe that they are doing this for NEW accounts. I have asked in another ticket but I was ignored.
Once the NEW tag is lifted that restriction seems to go away.
Now click on this post and tell me if you see my reply here because I posted the same thing on this post but no one can see it.
I do not see your reply on that thread. Sh*t is getting confusing. Why would your content be censored or invisible?
You know though when stuff like this happens, I think most of us are thinking, "I wonder how much of my stuff is hidden or who it is even shown to?
Okay so bear with me on this one - When you were a kid, did you ever own one of those spring toys called a Slinky? Did you ever somehow get it tangled up and try to UNtangle it? Remember how in the process, it just kept getting worse so you had this massive wad of wire? I think that is basically what happened when they installed whatever "algorithm". Maybe they are trying to fix things but just like that tangle-wad of slinky wire...
@iamonfire696 Some forums do restrict new users. The problem with doing that here is since they are not addicted yet (assuming they are truly new) they may be less likely to want to hang around.
TBH the clusterfuckeyness that is SWEEP is the very reason I went to EP like once or twice but gave up.
I definitely see an increase amount of new users on this site. Whether they are current users, I don't know. I try not to comment on their posts in case they are trolls.
@iamonfire696 yes i know. But as a 'social' site it makes it pretty shit........little chance of makibg bew connections....except for the people who post a number of times a day
One of those NEW people popped off information about me thst only someone in admin or access to that info would know . I reported them as someone I previously blocked using a new profile to harass me . Then I told her I was reporting her . The next second any trace of her disappeared from my view. No convo history or existence on my blocked list and admin never acknowledged the complaint . That shit ain’t right!
Algorithm may have something to do with adult content? Maybe it's to stop newbies from being overwhelmed by all the nudity on here because that's not supposed to be the focus of the sight? Not saying you have nudity, I wouldn't know, I have filters up, but it might be a part of it?
I think sites tend to be coy about their algorithms for a lot if reasons, not just on here.

Imagine being such a nazi about treating new accounts well (even tho some of them are trolls) then messing things up like this ☺️ aka making new ones feel like lepers
@MellyMel22 it’s happening to all of us. Haven’t figured out what the algorithm based this off of. If you comment on a NEW accounts post and you get no reactions from anyone it’s because no one can see you on it.
@Queendragonfly I have seen @Stereoguy posts plenty and he is one of the more docile ones here. Even when he disagrees with people, he does so in a respectful manner.
The hell could he have possibly even posted to have all his posts hidden?
There ain't no rhyme nor reason to why things happen.
@CestManan Maybe he and one of the mods don't de eye to eye who knows. But as I've said in a previous post. I will make up my own impression about people.
@iamonfire696 Interesting. Also, I couldn't see your comment. You may wish to ask the admins if they've "reduced or restricted your audience", which is their euphemism for shadowbanning.
@LordShadowfire they haven’t. Look at my posts, I get lots of comments.
@DDonde reacted to that same post and it couldn’t be seen.
Go through the posts of the NEW users and you will notice that there are higher reaction and message counts that don’t add up. Also there will be people that comment that get no interaction at all.

@SW-User I have interacted with other new users. I don’t have any reports or warnings on my account. I have never been to SW jail so I don’t get it.
That’s why I can’t figure out what the algorithm is based on.
Admin wanted us to Welcome the NEW people but if you do that and they ignore you some people may block because we know that happens so I don’t get it 🤷🏼♀️.
