How about stop throwing so much money around for football coaches and make them prove themselves and see if that helps. $7 million just for head football coach, and no telling how much for assistant coaches.

Take what Indiana did - they hired a head coach with a proven record throughout his career. Then he and the university brought in a boatload of proven transfers (like the Canadian QB Kurtis Rourke from the Ohio Bobcats).

They are vying for a 9 - 0 start (first time ever for the Hoosiers) later today @ Michigan State.
