Smoked Since My 20's

Old fashioned? Maybe these days with using this bloody big contraptions called Vapes! God, they don't look elegant or stylish!

So, yes, cigarette smoker since then. Still enjoy it. Not planning on stopping anytime so please don't bore me with any stats or rhetoric.

Thank you!

🙂
“they don't look elegant or stylish” so you think you look cool smoking? Hahaha wow how old are you

@TryingtoLava this post was made right after watching Peaky Blinders
@Nanori hahah more like mad men
ViciDraco · 36-40, M
@TryingtoLava this was my reaction, haha. I won't lecture an adult who wants to make the choice to smoke. It's their decision to do so. But cigarettes look so trashy to me. Elegant they are not.
nobodyishome · 31-35, F
Yay! Someone who understands me finally 🙂‍↔ I am NEVER giving up cigarettes.
nobodyishome · 31-35, F
@redredred or what have you been taught? Is that delusional?
redredred · M
@nobodyishome prove you have a soul that lives on after you’ve coughed out your lungs and died.
JamesBugman · 56-60, T
@nobodyishome When you're a ghost, you can't interract with anything, so you see the pack of smokes there but can't pick one up or even open the pack, and the lighter.. forget about it. I suppose you could get inside your friend and pretend to inhale when she takes a puff, but that's about as close as you will get.

When vaping was not yet illegal to do indoors at businesses, people would walk around doing it like they were so rebellious.

I think each form of nicotine just has a different vibe, with vaping being the "douchebag" version of it.

I think though the reason for vape - since less people smoke because of anti-smoking propaganda, they had to revamp profits somehow.

I just smoke standard cigarettes.

I quit smoking cigarettes after smoking since 16....40 years of that was enough.. not to mention it's going to kill me:)my doctor and I chatted and he....my doc....told me that whenever I have an urge for a cigarette to grab a bowl or joint....smoke weed instead of nicotine....it's much safer for you he said...I was smoking about 2 packs a day and actually didn't have a very hard time quitting at all....I've tried all the other crap like hypnotism and nicorette and everything else....The hypnotism worked for a day.....As I was driving by her office the next day.... I lit up a smoke....and that was that:)If you do...you don't need to smoke the whole bowl or joint just a couple or a few hits until the urge is gone.....If you ever do want to quit....I suggest the weed treatment!!!Good luck....

I smoked years ago and cut back and only have 2 or 3 at night after dinner.which I enjoy.
JamesBugman · 56-60, T
You couldn't stop even if you wanted to. You are hopelessly addicted to it but deny it. It's your life and you do what you want with it, hopefully it all works out. My parents were chain smokers and my dad lived to 79 and never got cancer or anything but I do not think this is a common occurrence.

@JamesBugman Health industry tends to over-exaggerate the risks of things.
They like to scare people based on bad things that "could" happen if you do this or that.

Not much different than fitness products implying that if you use their product, you will develop the body of a 21 year old athlete or model.
@CestManan says
They like to scare people based on bad things that "could" happen if you do this or that.

According to the data,
Researchers at 'Action on Smoking and Health' have reported that a 30-year-old smoker can expect to live about 35 more years, whereas a 30-year-old non-smoker can expect to live 53 more years. In addition, the children of a parent or parents who smoke may be at risk from the genetic damage done to the parent before conception (because of their previous smoking), the direct effects to them in the womb, and the passive smoke they are exposed to after they are born.

personally I'd rather have 18 more years of life than the pleasures of nicotine.

Everyone is different my father smoke all his life started with roll your own in the 40's ,, when he could he bought tailor made ,, when he could not back to tobacco and papers ,, he past at the age of 84 ,, but was happy ,,

I always thought cigarette smoking was meditative. And it's much more cool to do than essentially sucking on a metal tube aka vapes. Not going to kick this habit as long as I can afford it.
I smoked for many years. I once sat on my toilet smoking and thinking, "man these things are killing me." I tried so many times to stop and could not. I took up vaping and gradually decreased my nicotine level. I could vape anytime I wanted but after gradually cutting so low on my nik, I quit vaping altogether. I know you don't care but vaping is a way out for people who feel helpless to stop.
