Back to the cigarettes

Well… I’m smoking as much as ever now. I was hoping I’d get back on the wagon after my slip up last week, but that didn’t happen. I don’t think my next quitting attempt will be anytime soon. Cigarettes always win…

I used an app called quitsure to stop smoking 3 years ago. It's a 6 day course and the great thing about it is you have to keep smoking while you do it. The app promised to rid me of smoking in 6 days. It worked in 4! After 4 days I couldn't stand to smoke anymore. No need for any self control, the course literally rid me of all cravings. I hate the smell of cigarettes and when I'm around smokers I never feel tempted. Look for it on your app store.
@PinkMoon I'm going to try it.

I smoked for 18 years, I finally quit in March of 2015. I don't vape, I don't do snuff, don't smoke pot, and I haven't touched a cigarette since I quit.

Have I had cravings? You better believe I have, but if you're disciplined enough you can overcome the temptation.

So March 2024 will be 9 years 100% smoke free for me.

Yes they are a very hard addiction to break. I locked myself in a tractor for three days and wouldn't let myself go to buy another pack of smokes. It worked. I quit and 45 years later have not been tempted to pick up another.
I quit gambling and drinking. That is fucking tough. Everywhere I go there's a liquor store next door. Even the gas station. Put your big girl panties on and try again. Chew gum.

I hope one day you find the strength to quit, my uncle has stage 4 COPD

Well they will in the end.. If you keep smoking them. But I am sure other non smokers are grateful for the extra taxes you pay of their behalf..😷
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
Trust me. You will give them up in the end. And the more you smoke, the sooner that is likely to be...😷
FreeSpirit1 · 51-55, F
I understand the addiction, my mom had lung cancer and still smoked
Banksy83 · 36-40, M

Try Cuban cigars. I'm told that smoking cigars cures one of smoking cigarettes.
calicuz · 51-55, M
@SandWitch

Not true, there just isn't enough nicotine in a cigar to satisfy the craving, I've tried it.
Mustermann · 36-40, M
@SandWitch do you smoke yourself?
SandWitch · 26-30, F
@Mustermann
No, I've never smoked anything in my life that required a match to light it.
