I Love Marijuana
Despite the recent decriminalization of marijuana in my country, it is still considered a bit of a controversial issue. It is not that this decision has caused any issues, but rather the antiquated ideas and notions that some of the more traditional people have about it. Some people are just too set in their ways to ever consider alternate opinions.
It is for this reason that I still keep my marijuana consumption under wraps – despite the fact that I am fully within my legal rights to spark one up at home. People still tend to treat you differently if they know that you are a stoner. So, here, for the last time I will explain why I love marijuana so much and why after all these years I am still consuming it.
Let’s start with the physical reasons for smoking weed; though I believe them to be well documented by this point in time. Marijuana can be quite an effective sleeping agent for those suffering from insomnia. I have had great difficulty falling asleep for most of my life, and I find that marijuana completely resolves this issue for me. It also works brilliantly to reduce nausea and increase your appetite, if a little extra help is needed in that regard. Not to mention its knack for relaxing your muscles and numbing pain in certain cases. With all these benefits taken into account, how could I not love it?
Broadening my explanation; I will delve into the remaining reasons for my loving marijuana. First and foremost being its ability to suppress emotion. This makes for a fantastic anti-depressant and a balanced way to keep your moods under control. Once I spark up my first one for the day, I get to leave all my workplace drama and related moods behind. I am slow – if not impossible – to anger, and I am calm. This leaves me in the optimal state of mind to deal with just about anything life can throw my way, without overstressing myself as I usually do.
I am not saying that marijuana has made me a better person, only that it has made massive improvements to my quality of life. I am not saying that marijuana has no negative impact at all, but the key lays in moderation. I am not saying that marijuana is for everyone, only that the people who do smoke it aren’t some low life junkies. I am not saying that you should love marijuana, only asking that you accept my decision to do so.
