They identify as sober though, the school needs to be more accommodating

You sure it's not Nancy? She always shows up at work stink Face but whenever she shows up sober....she almost got impeached.

If I had to work in a school in Okrahomo, I'd be drunk 24/7 too

@thisguy20 you probably would at this high school here, overcrowded as can be. They had over 100 teachers quit summer before last.
@cherokeepatti I think I'd need $150,000 a year to teach these pipsqueaks.
Last spring we had a school bus driver get fired because kids were saying that he smelled like alcohol. The school board found it to be true so he is gone.

@IndianaJoes Good thing the children spoke up.
@cherokeepatti yes, uno kids can't keep their mouths shut and I'm glad they spoke up. The kids need to speak up on anything that is Bull ! We don't need any more problems with our school systems. Especially addicts. There is a huge shortage of bus drivers.... But they wasted no time getting rid of this duck. The school newspaper reported it, then local paper got wind of it, then the TV news reported it. Now he is famous. I'm sure he will never drive a bus again.
This is a direct result of the liberal "Who are YOU to judge?" battle cry of the 1990's. This is what we get.

@NewRaven the legislature doesn’t want to pass a bill where parents can get tax credits for sending their children to private schools. They should be able to do that. And avoid public schools that way.
NewRaven · 51-55, F
@cherokeepatti Ohio has passed such a bill, but not to get tax credits, but rather to get part of the tuition paid, which is on a sliding scale depending on parent income. I make a good living and still get a portion of tuition paid.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@NewRaven The state could easily do that, they were doing it for the private Epic schools during Covid, paying them what they pay public schools. But Epic schools was an online school and didn’t have nearly as many business expenses like public school. They didn’t have a school grounds to maintain, only had a small building they leased, didn’t have to hire a school nurse, a security guard, pay a lot of money for a/c, heating or water or toilet paper & paper towels, and didn’t have classroom spaces to clean or a school cafeteria. Basically most of their expenses were leasing the building, paying for internet, paying for the online teaching staff, and educational materials. So after Covid was over they started investigating and acted like they were being defrauded. Anyone with common sense could have figured this out before it happened.

There is a user right here on SW, whom I have blocked, whose profile page says that she is gay, a drug addict, and a teacher, and is teaching OUR kids. Bragging about it.

Can the school systems just PLEASE take out the trash?
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@4meAndyou Interesting that she even brags about it. They arrested a teacher in my city in the last decade that showed up to work high on meth.

@cherokeepatti I'm glad they arrested her.
