I'm thinking of cutting all my natural nails off and trying false nails at a proper salon.

I have the family curse of deformed nails anyway, so I can't create talons or anything with them because they all look off centre.

The only thing that puts me off is that my step mother put false nails on me when I was a teenager and she did something to my cuticles that made them hurt for days afterwards.
