Need my first root canal

I've had a few. If you have a good dentist you won't feel anything strange....cuz you'll be numbed out....

Once the dentist gets that pesky root cleaned out, he'll put a filling over the small hole in the top of your tooth, then you'll go home and you'll have the opportunity to drool a lot while your mouth is still numb.

I just had novacaine for mine recently, they did the drilling through the tooth, when I had my other tooth on the other side extracted, that hurt the most.

I know there was a couple times where they had to do extra Novocaine after some time but I was on a soft food diet for about a week, a week and a half. And everything was fine after that. There was some pain but they told me to let them know and then they just added more novacaine which was fine for me.

So unfortunately for me the numbing doesn’t ever work for me so I felt every single thing it was torture mine was also in my lower molar right in front of my wisdom tooth.. I was reclined back how you would normally be for a regular cleaning and I was sore for days and was on a soft diet

I took a puck in the mouth playing hockey. Needed a couple. It’s not bad anymore. At all. Get the nitrous. It’s heavenly.

So I have found them to hurt afterwards from the vibrations of the drilling for several days. But not unbearable by any means.

I was sat upright or close to horizontal the whole time - never upside down haha.

What is you dentist up to have your headway down there!

i feel like i have a series of cavities on my upper right jaw .. someone told me if you gargle coconut oil it cures them but i keep forgetting to get some

Done properly, with adequate local no big deal.

It's not pleasant but certainly a lot better than the pain of not getting it done... The tooth won't hurt after because the nerve is removed but there will be some small discomfort from having your mouth b so long but that fades quickly
