Divorced around 20 years. No rush to marry again anytime soon
Mindful · 56-60, F
@1PrivateHannah a relationship with the wrong person can feel like that (choker)
JohnnyNoir · 61-69, M
@Mindful or a marriage
Mindful · 56-60, F
@JohnnyNoir yes, esp. a marriage

WillaKissing · 61-69, M
13 plus years for me that I have chosen not to date, been single 19 plus years. I got tired of the lies and scams only looking at what I have or make or poses. Whatever happened to being into a person for who they are?

So, I said "F" the dating scene and unless a woman comes into my life accepting me as I am not wanting to change and alter me into what she wants me to be, or saying they like me while asking can I pay for this or that, or what do I drive, or how big is your home, how big is your timber farm, what is your farm worth and so on and so forth.

So, I just quit looking altogether and said screw it I will do the things that make me happy because I do not need the evaluation or accounting review of my life. I am totally happy and content by myself.
zonavar68 · 56-60, M
Single (no relationship) for 8 yrs next month. I turn 58 next month. Sexless (with no positive relationship or dating experiences) for almost 10 years.

I'm demi-sexual, introverted, neuro-divergent. Can't approach women irl. Dating sites forever a disaster. I don't meet the '666-rule requirements' modern women anecdotally use.

Bought house by myself at age 55, and I freak out thinking a woman I had a relationship with now would try to take both my house plus my retirement savings and screw me over to advantage herself and leave me and my 9 y/o daughter with nothing.
lissah · 36-40, F
I been divorced 2 years. I dont mind being single.
ChiefJustWalks · 26-30
It'll be a year at the end of this month. She wanted to be single.. just sucked because we have a kid together & I wanted to be a family. She wants me back now but idk if I can do it.

I've dated a few people but I'm really hesitant about labeling anything still. Idk, I just don't wanna do the wrong things
Shytoshow · 61-69, M
@ChiefJustWalks Tough choice too make i feel for you
1PrivateHannah · 51-55, F
@ChiefJustWalks Weigh the pros and cons but take time. It'snot easy to trust again after you've been hurt.
Neoerectus · M
@ChiefJustWalks generally second chances do not work for M or F. The relationship is a safe harbor between others....
stayfickle · 26-30, F
A year. Preferred to fulfill my “happy meter” in life before I let someone in again.
Shytoshow · 61-69, M
You wouldn't believe me but 1997 year my wife passed
1PrivateHannah · 51-55, F
@Shytoshow Oh, you must love her so much! Nobody can replace her.
Shytoshow · 61-69, M
@1PrivateHannah Just she was perfect in every way good hearted caring loving compassionate human being so rare
SleepingWithGhosts · 46-50, M
A little over a year and a half. My wife left me.
caPnAhab · 26-30, M
30 years. I like it this way
Shytoshow · 61-69, M
Told you. You wouldn't believe me but it's the gods honest truth
antonioio · 70-79, M
I married at a very young age and I'm still married
in not happy ever after let me tell you
it's completed
antonioio · 70-79, M
@Mindful a very turbulent marriage
Mindful · 56-60, F
@antonioio I'm so sorry. I think that many marriages are... it's all very suprising as you're going thru it.
antonioio · 70-79, M
@Mindful I don't know if you would call it surprising
but its the marriage I'm in
I either end it or put.up.with it
Jessmari · 46-50, T
10 years. I don't want to play the game.
Ramon67 · 61-69, M
Over 30 years . Trust issues are you I stopped dating
I've been single for almost two years now.
Lately, I really enjoy my freedom.
It wasn't cheating, but it was something different.
Quimliqer · 70-79, MVIP
So true! Still bothers me 28 years after.
1PrivateHannah · 51-55, F
@Quimliqer oh ok...why does it still bother you?
Sorry, I'm getting too nosy ...you don't have to answer this.
Quimliqer · 70-79, MVIP
@1PrivateHannah I don’t mind you asking! Makes one wonder what happened after 26 years of marriage.
1PrivateHannah · 51-55, F
@Quimliqer Yeah, you're right!
Nothing really lasts forever. Imagine 26 years. It's a lifetime already.
I already had 4 years. 🤭
BrandNewMan · 61-69, M
I'm headed toward being single after a long marriage. My sons are grown, no desire for another family .. so if being honest .. there is virtually no desire to ever be married again.

The legal system makes it a losing proposition if it ends. The statistics are rather strong that its significantly more likely to end than not. Not seeing a likely upside that would be worth the risks to my peace of mind.
froggie · 26-30, M
Two years. I found out she was going to sketchy places getting drugs and seeing other guys while she was with my (her) kids. The oldest one was able to tell me everything the best way she could. Kids shouldn’t be exposed to that kind of stuff at an early age
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
My husband died I've been "single" for one year and one month
Iworkout2much · 70-79, M
I've always been single.

I've been divorced since 2009. 🤔🤔🤔 Hmmm. That would be 17 years now. AND I am so shell shocked that living alone, NOT in a relationship, is a delight and a blessing.
I married young and was widowed young. I’ve been in a couple of long term relationships since but never remarried. The last one ended about ten years ago. I’m more comfortable with friendships now.
gothfairy · F
A long while. Because I'm too damaged.
JaneDoee · 22-25, F
8 years. i simply havent found anyone im interested in yet
1PrivateHannah · 51-55, F
@JaneDoee Take your time. You're still young.
Sapio · 51-55, M
I have been single for quite sometime. I'm too comfortable alone, so it's difficult to let anybody in.
@Sapio I understand this. 🤔
Gibbon · 70-79, M
Death. Three and a half years.
1PrivateHannah · 51-55, F
@Gibbon, my condolences.
No other love since then?
Gibbon · 70-79, M
@1PrivateHannah no, I'm 72. That was the last. It was both of ours third relationship. We both had previous miserable relationships. We had the best years of our lives together. 11 years. No more. I would be comparing everything to her.
Bboystatic · 46-50, M
13 years. I can’t see a reason to be in a relationship when I’m so happy on my own. I honestly don’t understand how someone can be so miserable alone and unhappy unless they’re in a relationship.
Quite awhile. I was in an on/off situation I can't call a relationship. I'm so happy to be free of it idc about anything else rn lol
chasingMonday · 41-45, M
Way too long and because I’m broken
FreestyleArt · 36-40, M
9 years. This world is way too greedy of all kinds.

for me it's impossible.

Many many many many years that people had it better.

now life just doesn't seem to matter anymore.
empanadas · 31-35, M
Like 7 months, i havent found someone worth dating
deadgerbil · 26-30, M
@empanadas you can date Mark Paul
empanadas · 31-35, M
@deadgerbil naw i don't date men but you can date @CaptainBard and torture bugs together
deadgerbil · 26-30, M
@empanadas I'll be his personal exterminator defending his house,,,
Many years. Got tired. Turns out, they don't really come in different models, just a different body style every year. Same engine, same difficult wiring...
They all said I love my dog more, but that's completely irrelevant. 🤭
1PrivateHannah · 51-55, F
@UnderLockDown sometimes dogs are easier to love thsn humans.
Selah ·
I have no interest in committing to anyone. I just don't think it's worthwhile or benefits me much.
SirLirkALot · 46-50, M
