I just can’t carry a child, so it wasn’t really my choice exactly. I could have adopted but I spent a long time in a long term psych ward, so it just was never good timing. I’ll be 48 in November and even though my wife is a bit younger at 36 in December, we’re both getting older and have no plans for kids at our age. I’ve mostly come to terms with it but occasionally it makes me sad as I think I would have been a good Mum. 🤷♀️

@JustGoneNow aw yeah like..i still think i made the best decision for me..but then i had the hysterectomy and it was completely beyond my control then. i was 39 then tho..so i had kinda made my decision, i guess
@foldedunfolding when I was really thinking about kids some day, I was with my ex boyfriend Jacob… many years ago. So probably good thing. I would have been a mostly lesbian tied to a guy that really didn’t turn me on and then he would have had our child to raise alone while I was in the ward. Sad to say, but probably god’s blessing in a way. Just still makes me sad just a little sometimes, ya know? It’s cool, though.

I’m happy with my life, as of now!
I don’t regret not getting married or having kids, I like my freedom and my sleep.

@rockstar felt! when you're older tho..u may question it a lil

@foldedunfolding I was 24-25 when my girlfriend and I faced this dilemma. Went against it. I still think it was the right decision for the both of us at the time. You’re right, maybe a few years down the line I will question it. Or may still be stubborn enough to not admit it.

No kids here due to not being able to. The single oart is my choice until the right person comes along. But im happy.
StevetheSleeve · 31-35, M
I’m ok with it. I do like kids but don’t have any desire to have some of my own.
foldedunfolding · 41-45, F
@StevetheSleeve i think my hardship.is seeing everyone else with families..kinda fucks me up when i dont have plans or someone to care for me as i get older..but they are like 250k to get to 18, they generally find a reason to hate you, and they are gremlins to take care of!

@foldedunfolding Oh yeah kids are a pain in the rear when they are young,
BUT...
They grow up and it is pretty awesome. My son is 26 and I do not get to see him much cause he is out of state but when I do, it is a lot of laughs, funny stories, etc.
I go out west and that is where my family is. My ex, son, daughter in law, grandson.
I cannot even really explain well but it is just we are always so proud of our kids. Just how they go from being pesky obnoxious little sh*ts to being grown, mature men or women.
Well, no one in our family can be called "mature" but we have a lot of laughs and talking smack. 😄
I made a lot of knee-jerk life-changing decisions earlier in life. If I could go back, I wouldn't change a thing.

I love being child free and hope to stay that way.

No regrets in this regard so far.

Nope. :) No regrets.
I regret not having kids.

100% standing by it. Not everyone has what it takes to be a parent, and I have to admit I'm one of them. I just wouldn't make a good parent. Too many kids already suffering from just that, from ending up as the kids of people who should never have been parents and going through hell growing up. I don't need to add to that statistic. I've got more than enough dealing with myself and my own mental health, no need for an innocent kid to have to pay too. Kid deserves better than what I can provide. Even so, I also just don't have any interest in having kids which makes the choice even easier.

I have always believed I wouldn't make a good dad, proven by the fact I have been married four times. I stand by my decision not having any. I'm now single yet again and loving my life.
