Does loneliness hit you the hardest at night?

I always experience loneliness the most during late nights. Its when I want to be connected the most to someone, preferably someone I have a romantic interest in. Being single has been a challenge for me for a long time, and I've always been strong about it. But i can't deny that I really want that special someone to keep me company during the nights when possible. Here's to hoping that I'll find my match sometime soon

Indeed, because it is at night that we are in the most peaceful and quiet environment. It is also the most reflective, inspiring, creative time. Naturally, you feel more alone because you become more self-aware at that time.

Temporary cuddle fix: Have you tried those pillows you can hug? They could make you feel more cozy. Also, hot showers have something comforting, like a hug.

Welcome that "alone" feeling and explore it... is it possible that you may be missing connection with yourself..? Feeling that your own company is enough to be content is the first step; it will help you in sustaining future healthier love bonds because your balance will not depend on them.

You can do that by spending more time with your hobbies and also by trying new things.

Just because you did not yet meet your SO does not mean you should not enjoy life - meet your most trustworthy friends often!

Now is the time to shine - be the person you want to meet - it will happen! ^_^

PS: always remember the other side of the medal: there was a quote I can't recall but it said something in the lines of: "...to some - it is loneliness, to others - freedom". Being free can be nice - grow and bloom :) ♡
Wow so back when I was younger before I had a taste of serious relationships and married life, DEFINITELY. I felt so lonely I felt physical pain in my chest sometimes. Now though? No way. I'm not missing anything, only arguments, children (aka baggage), and not having my income drained by stuff that isn't really necessary to me.

@Coppercoil you mean a "prophet"
Coppercoil · M
@Isthisit yes.. fortunately there was no spelling, punctuation, or typo requirements on the licensing exam, otherwise i may never have made it to where i am today.
@Coppercoil guess you never saw that misspell coming, Mr. Prophet

We find what we need when we miss it sometimes. We're not meant to be alone. We're meant for family and belonging :)

And our most vulnerable time is the night. I hope you find your match soon

Yes its always worse at night. The best we can hope for is to die in our sleep...
Yeah it does. But what hits even harder is at night with someone who makes you feel alone.

It does. But stay open to possibilities and you will happen on something when you least expect it.
ViciDraco · 36-40, M
Yeah, right as the evening calms and you can put the day behind you is the time it really starts setting in.
