I got locked in an store because I didnt purchase anything😫

I got locked inside an huge food store. What happened were I went in to look around because I had never been in before then suddenly I couldnt get out. They made it so you cant leave without buying anything. You cant leave through the same door as you entered , it doesnt open. You can only leave through the door thats after check out but its that tight you cant get through unless you qeue up. So I had to go all the way back around and wait until someone entered the store then I ran through the doors. I were panicking and nearly crying 😅 my dad used to joke all the time about that happening , my childhood nightmare came true

There's no need to panic, just say excuse me and walk past the checkout. No one can force you to buy anything.

@SW-User That sounds like the store may actually have some code issues being violated, depending on where you live
generally there has to a 4 foot wide emergency egress path per fire code and ADA reuirements

Maybe they have had a problem with shoplifting, but they should have told you if that's the case and have your consent to be searched, Or I fail to see how their policy (if true) can even be legal.
