actually, there are several things I still get for less than a dollar at dollar general... 🤔
OverTheHill · 61-69, M
@wildbill83 Yes, you can still find stuff under a dollar.

Clever! I don't think the Dollar Twenty Five Tree really cuts it...I suppose they could call it the Dollar and More...or the Dollar Plus...but it would cost a lot more than a few dollars to change ALL the signs nation wide, and then there is the cost of changing their name on their letters of incorporation...😱
OverTheHill · 61-69, M
@4meAndyou The prices are going up to $1.75 soon at Dollar Tree.

@OverTheHill Holy cow!!! Pricing me right out of the store! 😱
Aggravating but I’ve found a way to make the best of it.

@OlderSometimesWiser Probably thought you were the new manager. They go through employees like water at our local stores.
WillaKissing · 56-60, M
We used to have many a year ago the Five and Dime Stores (.5 cents to.10 cents).
OverTheHill · 61-69, M
@WillaKissing I remember the 5 and Dime stores, and Woolworths too.
WillaKissing · 56-60, M
@OverTheHill Schottenstein's, Kmart, Gold Circle there was a bunch that went to the wayside.

Same as UK. We have Poundland, and now more than half the store is over a pound.
WillaKissing · 56-60, M
It should be changed to "The $10 to $20 dollar store!"

Donotfolowme · 51-55, F
