I shop compulsively so...

I'm trying to do a no buy for two months. I am only allowed to buy essentials. No clothes, no art and craft supplies and no books in particular. This is to try and develop more mindful shopping habits. At the end of the no buy two months I'm going to do a low buy year. Which means I'll be limiting my spending on these things. Because otherwise I buy about twenty books in one month. I have books on book shelves in cupboards and in tubs. I have no more book storage until I read some and donate them. Plus I want to reduce the amount I have to just one cupboard and my book shelves, no stashing books everywhere!. I like a challenge so whilst the craving to shop is uncomfortable when I don't buy. I find avoiding it fun! 😁

Good luck!

I would struggle most of all with not buying books.

I have the same issue and got in trouble financially…
I admire you for trying to get your books under control.

@SomeMichGuy thanks I'm addicted to buying them in fact I tend to hoard them. So I need to get it under control.
We definitely do not need to combine our biblio-lust, @Wolfheart! lol

My dad always said it's not what you earn, but what you spend..

open a library
You need to buy one more thing.. a Kindle. Then you can have all of your books with you everywhere you go, and less trees to chop down.
