I enjoy talking talking to people who are shopping or the vendors. It’s a great way to learn about how others live. It’s not always about sales and money.

But my overall feeling would depend upon context: are you doing all this in a way which interferes with the running of my posited stand? If I'm busy and you do that with no purchase, you come across as an annoyance. If I'm not busy, you come across as a potential future customer.
