I'd feel heckin bamboozled.

I enjoy talking talking to people who are shopping or the vendors. It’s a great way to learn about how others live. It’s not always about sales and money.

Pleased and I'll let you know I was glad to have met you because... the next time you come by my stall you just may buy something.
Tumbleweed · F
Not mad at all!! I don't mind chit chat. And farmer's markets are the best, sometimes I go just to look around.
ThePatientAnarchist · 61-69
@Tumbleweed Yes! The one near us is like a miniature folk festival :)
Tumbleweed · F
@ThePatientAnarchist I love them!!!

You? An anarchist with magical thinking about an anarchist utopia?
Hmmmmm... I guess I'd like that you didn't just grab something you wanted.
But my overall feeling would depend upon context: are you doing all this in a way which interferes with the running of my posited stand? If I'm busy and you do that with no purchase, you come across as an annoyance. If I'm not busy, you come across as a potential future customer.
Does that help?

@SomeMichGuy Very helpful, and fortunately the actual scenario is "not busy".

I'm wondering, were you simply a window shopper? Are my prices out of line for the product? Are you lonely just looking for a conversation? Am I lonely keeping the conversation going?
Be fine with me. You might just spread the word about how fabulous I am and bring me in some new customers.
thepeculiarpanda · 36-40, M
I'd be cool with it. I love talking with people about random whatever. :)
bookerdana · M

Well, I'm not much of a salesperson, so I'd likely just enjoy the chat. 🤷♀

Indifferent
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
It would not bother me.
Prettybratbi1tch · 26-30, F
You're not obligated to buy unless you want to
A waste of time? If you are at a "stand", wouldn't you be there most of the day anyway?
auris · M
I feel pretty much nothing. Sounds a pretty normal iteration.
Gibbon · 70-79, M
Just another window shopper come and gone.
Writing mown reality now, no external input accepted at this moment
StygianKohlrabi · M
if that bothers you,you need to get out of that line of business and go into car sales. not.
ThePatientAnarchist · 61-69
@StygianKohlrabi I'm asking as the non-buying customer, not as the vendor!
StygianKohlrabi · M
@ThePatientAnarchist I'm saying that would be fine. pleasant even.
