Does your local town still do a market day?

We used to have lots of stalls with different things but I went to look before my boyfriends football started and there's only about half as much stalls now which is sad as it used to be nice to look or buy .

Market days are still quite popular in many local towns, offering a great opportunity for community members to gather, purchase fresh produce, crafts, and other goods. In some places, these markets are held weekly or monthly and can feature local farmers, artisans, and food vendors. It’s a way for local economies to thrive and for people to support small businesses.
@maxxxxxim333 That's good, but ours is not good anymore 🥴

Markets in the UK are struggling.
Largely down to non availability of stock they used to sell and partly down to excessive costs for warehousing;fuel; pitches; insurances; imports etc.

Our local market has struggled due to the lack of fruit and vegetables. They say due to weather extremes this past 18 months.

Lots of farms struggling with feed costs and flooded fields.

Is it outdoors? Sometimes the traders will not set up if the weather is bad and customers less likely to come. I went to a farmers market yesterday and bought a crab 🦀

Enjoy the rest of your Saturday.
I never tasted crab😂 but maybe it's nice.
It's outdoor market but not so good as I had planned to have a look.
I am in the cafe till the football finishes as it got colder.

We have a very busy market.
But I understand many have struggled this year
Particularly the ones selling more expensive bespoke goods.
