On the 23rd of December one year. We decided to drive through the night to escape the heat of the day. (Southern Hemisphere) We saw lights that looked like it was from a a road train truck except the front was different. It was off to the side of the road were there was no side road that we knew of. We got close to it then it kept pace with us, staying out of reach before disappearing. Travelling on a dirt road at 100km would have been dangerous. But there was no dirt road anywhere there.
A few ours later we saw an asteroid come down, burning a brilliant bright red then green then white. We thought someone had set of a flare or something..
