if your door was knocked at 3 am at night, what would you do

This is my farm in the middle of nowhere Ohio, USA and the dogs in the house would let me know a person was driving up my driveway or walking up it. So, I would get dressed and grab a flashlight to see whom it maybe, and to ask them what their purpose was.

You being an apartment dweller is way different than my situation.

Between the dogs Rottweilers, my 27 years of training in the army, and having firearms I am not too concerned. Of course, annoyed and alert by the disturbance of my sleep I would have to find out what they wanted and were about.

bring my dog with me, as he just hates visitors, and I will not open the front door

Make my boyfriend answer it 🤭

Maybe it is just after-hour door to door salesmen.

I would not answer, maybe try to peek through the curtain to see who it were.

I won't answer it. I'll call my SO and ask him to stay with me on the phone until I'm comfortable.

My heart would be racing, I'd get up but not open the door.
