I was told when I was 10 when I got Type 1 Diabetes that I would have a good life to I am 30 - Now that I am past my expiration date, I am happier and you have a lot of good years left, enjoy it and have some fun.

When I was young, I didn't think that I would live past the age of 30....but here I am, 69 years old and still going. You never know how much time you have left.

Oh no, please do not let the thought of getting blood drawn consume you today.
Just think of it as a positive. You are being proactive in catching any possible issues early.
I actually just did the same thing this morning. The hardest part was not being able to have my morning coffee.

I always have them lay me down because I'll pass out too. If you are laid down you don't pass out or get the ill feelings, still drink OJ or apple juice afterwards.

Happy belated birthday. Just don't look at the blood and dont hold your breath.

Ask if you can lie down while your blood is being drawn. Needle shock is a real thing. Lots of people have it. Any time you feel faint, lie down and prop up your feet on something - the higher, the better. That will get blood flowing to your head faster, and you'll feel better immediately.
