I Have Been Extremely Lonely For Far Too Long

It's difficult for me. But at the same time, it's easier.
Coming home after a crazy day, wishing I had a friend to vent to. Who truly listens.
Missing that feeling of caring and listening to someone.
But at the same time, not wanting to get taken advantage of by caring too much.
At the same time, wanting to make sure I make enough time for myself and my responsibilities.
It's like I'm asking for a lot, but at the same time, I'm really not.

I know how you feel. Regardless of "how much" that's asking, it's not wrong to me. That stuff seems fundamental to a good relationship (of any kind). I guess it's just hard to know who to invest your feelings and time and trust into since many want but won't give back.. vulnerability is hard and can often be bad, but when it is right, it really pays off. Good relationships can be hard to form due to many users out there.

@crypticcodes: same here, as well as them being compatible with you personality-wise. It seems hard, but then again, maybe don't listen to me since I'm not a talker anyway. Hard to make friends if you don't talk
