I have metal in my arm, and I opted to keep it there.
I broke my elbow. I had extensive surgery. After the cast was removed, I could not bend my arm at all. The doctor explained that this was due to scar tissue created by the surgery.
So I underwent occupational therapy and I faithfully did exercises, and gradually my mobility returned.
When the doctor asked about removing the plates and screws, I said, "That's more surgery. More scar tissue. Afterwards, could I have less mobility than I have now?"
He said it was very possible. He also said there was no downside to leaving the metal in place.
So it is still there . I have no regrets

I had 14 screws and two plates in my right arm when i was 10. Had to have it all taken out 6 months later so my arm could carry on growing

Metal like pins? Are they giving you issues or do you just want it out?

@deadgerbil Both screws and plate.. It still hurts, and my doctor said it might be time to remove it or some of it.

I hope he gets far worse than the hurt he caused you.
