What is your hometown? Do you like or hate it?

My hometown is sierra madre. California. It's alright pretty boring.
Notanymore · 36-40, M
I used to love it . It was a perfect hide-away with no traffic lights and a big river to enjoy. Then some realtors found it. Sold houses dirt cheap to cityfolk that use it as a vacation spot. Took over the local government, so they could auction off the land next to the river and let asshats put no trespassing signs on what should be community property.

@Notanymore Stick it to the man! Fight the power.

@NovaNine I just park my canoe right off of the banks on their river lots

@Notanymore as you should

Mine is the ghetto called Surrey, BC. It wasn’t that bad there until the late 80’s but it’s almost a war zone now with drive by shootings, drugs, other criminal activity.
NovaNine · 56-60, M
@Jeephikelove that sucks I'm sorry to hear it's gone downhill
Jeephikelove · 46-50, F
@NovaNine thankfully I don’t live anywhere near there now

I suppose a lot of people might consider my hometown kind of boring. I can see that. But I also have seldom taken advantage of the opportunities that do exist here, so there's that.

Even the name is boring. I am grateful I grew up in a beautiful safe town, but there is nothing there for anyone unless you're a farmer or a retiree. 😒
NovaNine · 56-60, M
@DearAmbellina2113 That's how I feel here.
Mine’s San Francisco, CA. And I love it, for the most part. Boring it is not.
NovaNine · 56-60, M
@bijouxbroussard hey fellow Californian
@NovaNine I’ve visited your area. It’s a lovely town.
NovaNine · 56-60, M
@bijouxbroussard at least someone likes it. I've been to san Fran also years ago. I liked the vibe. If you ever see me about don't be afraid to say hey
Quimliqer · 70-79, M
Haven't lived in my home town since 1969.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
It's more or less okay but I don't want to spend the rest of my life here. I crave a new experience but I have no specific place in mind where I would like to relocate.
NovaNine · 56-60, M
@CrazyMusicLover i get it i never thought I'd be back but here i am
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@NovaNine I guess it's different to leave and come back and stay at the same place all the time.
ineedadrink · 51-55, M
My hometown was NY but I haven't lived there in many years and indeed I never lived there for all that long in the first place.
NovaNine · 56-60, M
@ineedadrink I want to go there someday

Not like but not hate too
Las Vegas. It’s okay. I like the convenience of a 24-hour town. When I’d moved to Salt Lake City, I was surprised I couldn’t just go grocery shopping after getting off work at 1 a.m.

@HootyTheNightOwl Let me put my invisible ink reading glasses on
@NovaNine Night vision goggles might also help, too... I was too lazy to turn on the light and my flash hurts my eyes, too.
