Do you consider yourself as someone who actively listens to your conscience?

Some people just ignore the voices in their head for good and listen only to the voices for bad. Some are dead to the voice of reason and listen only to the voice of despair.

I am what is in my head & heart. No need to explicitly listen, it always synchronised.

You mean to say conscience is inborn and not something that is nurtured ? Maybe everyone is listening and acting by their conscience or they just listen to their bosses who become their conscience.

I only listen to the voices that are good.

Sure the bad voices pop in and I say to myself ‘I’m not even going to entertain that’ and the go away.

Yes actually I do. I listen to my conscience on a number of issues. Honestly even though some of my decisions are questionable, I have a fairly good moral compass and I have never done things such as hurt people that do not deserve it, be physically abusive toward women and children, and I treat old people well also in general. So yes I guess you could say that even though I have a checkered past I do listen to the guidance coming from my heart

Two girls were in love with me and I was comfortable in having them married. But they asked me to choose one listening to the law and not their inner voice.

So I rejected both ..

What say you?

Yes, very much so. Self examination is part of my being. And I find that my being contains a well-spring of joy that brings me through those bad days to which we are all subjected.
