Different for me because my children are adopted. Attachment is something that has not always been easy, they were healing and had a lot of trauma, I was trying to work out how to parent around that and also grieving for biological children I lost. I have often wondered what my parenting journey would have been like if I had of had biological children, really just for curiosity sake more than anything. My children are more than enough and I wouldn't want to change them.
Yes, but because of my own childhood. I actually really struggled to want to be a mom for years. It doesn’t just come automatically and not as rewarding as ppl make it sound.
If I could do it over again I would wait until I was more healed emotionally before ever bringing a life into this world.

I dealt with bad prenatal depression every single time and struggled to bond with my babies while I was pregnant with them BUT the second they were born I fell in love immediately and knew I’d do anything to make sure they were happy and that they felt loved

Absolutely! My eyes were so filled with tears that I couldn't take a photo of our new child.

I felt very disconnected when I was pregnant, but as soon as they laid him on my chest everything changed. I loved him so much. I love him every moment.
