Need to vent....

As an RN working in orthopedics, I am constantly amazed at the number of morbidly obese people coming to the office complaining of knee pain, ankle pain, lower back pain and hip pain!!!!...and they have no idea why!! OMG, I feel like telling these people to try losing 100 pounds and they may feel the improvement. When someone 5'1'' weighs 280 pounds or more, don't you think they would have an idea they may be slightly overweight and stressing their joints??????????????????? STUPID people!!!!!!!!!! Disgusting too!!!!

How about recommending they see a weight loss/nutrition specialist? That's the root of obesity, it's always emotional.

@DearAmbellina2113 Also, laziness, poor choices with food, the people around them, their friends and sheer disregard for their body and health.

@DearAmbellina2113 I know it's an emotional issue for an RN seeing it, but I think DA is looking at the root of the issue.

@doughgirl kind of a sh*t attitude for a health professional to have if you ask me. But do you. ✌🏻

@DearAmbellina2113 Also highly processed "foods" that screw up gut bacteria. Try finding soups without sugar. Manufacturers go for the 'bliss points' associated with sugar, salt, and fats. These trigger brain chem that gives pleasure. Like cigarettes, it is all about profit. Period.
