I Dreamed That I Moved To An Old House In A Village….

Was going to repaint and fix up the house etc. the village was an amalgam of two different villages that I’ve actually lived in. A neighbor lady came to talk and was talking kindly about the children and other people living in the village. I was going to take a walk and visit with them and then I woke up feeling homesick. It felt good to be living in a village where children were outdoors laughing and playing and people were friendly and helpful.

@4meAndyou we would be invited to someone’s house for a barbecue and it was a treat, or a birthday dinner, or go on a picnic at the river, ice cream socials different farmers took turns hosting them, we would have fish fries and barbecues too. We entertained ourselves back then. No good movie theaters in the county. Harvest season was good for fried chicken lunches. And there was potlucks at the church on Sunday too.

@cherokeepatti We never went to church. Five different religions in my mother's family, and she was never religious. But we would meet at the parks and have family picnics at times, usually for my grandfather's birthday, or for a small scale reunion.

@4meAndyou We went to a little church in my Grandpa’s village. People were very gentle and we knew everyone. They would help each other out when there was a need, Kind of ruined it for going to any other churches.

My dream universe doesn’t yet have google maps apparently.

@cherokeepatti I believe, you are correct. I too, think about this scenario. It's just not feasible for me, at this time. Hopefully one day, I can experience this idyllic, way of life. 😊🌷
