cisgender - how comfortable are you with that term and does it describe you?

I'm a guy with guy bits and I think for the most part I identify as same, so therefore I'm 'cis', I think that's how the term applies.

"Cis" is a Latin prefix meaning "on the side of/this side of". It's also used in chemistry, right alongside "trans", which means "the other side of". This is called cis-trans isomerism, and it's used to describe the arrangement of atoms within molecules. I've found that people who get offended at the term cisgender just don't realize it's simply a basic description using a Latin prefix

@Torsten Isn't it fascinating to watch people like this demand tolerance, respect and understanding for their beliefs....while simultaneously supporting propaganda shaming your race or gender?

When they get frustrated and start attacking you with names or being condescending is when you know you have provoked "cognitive dissonance" in them...the discomfort that arises when two or more contradictory beliefs are held at the same time...

@SumKindaMunster their all hypocrites. People have to accept them but to hell with us aye .
fuck them

@Torsten She's gonna rush back to her bubble now to get validated and soothed. 😆

It's indoctrinating propaganda.

If transgenders expect me to honor their choices of identity, then its only fair they honor mine.

I identify as a man or a male. That's my preferred way of being addressed. I don't care for the term "cis-gendered" and I am offended if you choose to use that term to identify me.

Tolerance goes both ways.

@SumKindaMunster So you're not cisgender? 🤔
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@BigAssLeech I don't identify that way, no.

I'm not comfortable with the term. I know I am a woman and nothing else needs to be added. If people must use gender then I prefer them to refer to me as she/her but I don't care if they find ways how to avoid using it altogether. It's one of the reasons why I like English. I don't need to use gender if I talk in first person.

Doesn't matter what I call myself, doesn't change what I am no matter much I want it. I can call myself a unicorn and wish it with all my heart, doesn't change the fact I'm human. I'm male whether I like it or not. Can't change your gender simply by wishing it.

Identify how you want.....you are only altering your own reality. We arent obliged to enter that reality with you or agree with the taxonomy. Feels like this narrative is totalitarian as no other views are "acceptable"
Torsten · 36-40, M
i think its a dumb ass term and I do not accept it what so ever

It has no meaning in my world.
