Rolling cigarettes

My parents divorced when I was 5 years old and once a month I would go to my dads for the weekend. He lived in a mobile home park and let me run around pretty much without rules except don't bring the cops to his door. I remember being 6 years old sitting at the table in the kitchen being put to work rolling cigarettes. He showed me how to work the machine and everything. I was probably the only kid at school who knew how to do that or open a beer using the door jam.

Miserable people will always judge and try turn your memories into something tragic, just remember that only 🫵 know how those things may or may not have affected the way you've decided to live your life 🩵

My uncle had a juke joint, hole in the wall and i would be in there eating pickles and drinking cokes at 6 years old and listening to the blues. People were dancing, smoking, drinking around me, as i colored in coloring
books, so didn't grow up to be some alcoholic because of it , I don't drink alcohol or smoke, i never have. But i do color still everyday! Do not let them take your joy!

@AngelUnforgiven It wasn't really joyful because I hated being made to roll his cigarettes and I also hated to be the beer fetcher but it always could have been worse. The juke joint sounds pretty cool and quite the lively place to be.

I remember going to my dad’s house and eating captain crunch cereal when we were kids and our mom separated from him for awhile (they got back together latter)

rolling cigs with a machine is kind of a pain. I do it but they don't always turn out quite right.

@Punches that's why you need to start young. It takes years to master. Try it with one hsnd sitting on a horse!!
separatetheheart · 31-35, MNew
@Punches I remember struggling to get it right and him getting frustrated with me messing it up.

@separatetheheart Only reason I even bother is cause it is way cheaper.

Sounds like a solid dude. So long as he didn't beat you.
separatetheheart · 31-35, MNew
@GerOttman He didn't beat me he was very lax to the point of almost not really caring.
