Helping my mom make Sunday dinner. My mom was an awesome cook, and she would get up on Sundays and cook breakfast while starting her feast for dinner. I would help her prep the vegetables, and she did everything else.
She was the oldest of 10 children and had 5 of her own. All during the day, we had visitors, and the majority of her siblings and their families would drop by, and everyone would eat. We lived on a farm, and all of us cousins would be out roaming the grounds. It was such a great time to be a kid!

family dinners with mom,dad and brother...doing dishes (manually) after dinner with my brother and us fighting who washes or dries....then once that episode calmed down, it was playing board games or watching tv..all in the family, mash or hockey night in canada...

@beermeplease sounds so nostalgic ❤️
Man, it’s hard to pick just one….
Playing in the river while it rained when we’d camp for long periods of time
Staying up all night with my cousin playing Super Mario 3, making hilarious recordings, or competing to see who could stay awake the longest only to watch her fall asleep face first in her cereal bowl 😂
Sitting in front of my radio belting my heart out to my favorite songs for hours with no interruptions
Playing at my hideout out in the woods and the time we made our own toilet with plumbing and everything 🤣
Going to auctions with my dad and spending the whole time running free playing with all the other kids there
Sledding down the huge hill behind our house
I think most of my favorite memories all include my cousin though….❤️

When I was 5, running with my friend. I don't know why but at that moment, my mind activated and I have a vast memory of my life ever since that day. I knew him for half a year and came back to see him 4 years later when I was 9. he had forgotten me but I never forgot him nor held his memory in contempt. He was my friend and will always have a place in my heart, though he has never had a place for me in his.
That is my favorite childhood memory.

Swimming in a pond with my sisters. Not wearing shoes for practically the whole school holiday . . when I tried to put my school shoes on my feet had become too wide for them to fit 🙂

Playing alone outside when no one else was around. Guess I've always hated people. I miss the times when nature and imagination felt like they were enough.

Going fishing with my Dad. Cane poles, crickets, and sardines or Vienna sausage for us. We did it often.
