And the worst thing that we as a society do (I say we because I've been guilty of this myself) isn't ignoring those thoughts. It's encouraging suicidal people to stuff those thoughts. We say, "Don't think about that! Don't have those thoughts. Those thoughts aren't okay!" But that's not how the human brain works. The thoughts don't go away just because you pretend they aren't there.
@LordShadowfire it’s complicated. my wife is constantly checking with me and reading from experts on how to deal with my issues including depression and schizophrenia. it’s not easy and I could never ask her to help me deal but I’m grateful that’s she’s here. Very grateful.
