When you like helping people but you need to set boundaries for yourself ...

Some people have to hit rock bottom before they acknowledge they need help.. Then as they say, when the student is ready a teacher will appear...

I learnt this in a hard way..

What if setting those boundaries ends up making you spiral into a pit of despair?

It's very difficult setting boundaries that go against who you are while continuing to feel fulfilled.

That was hard for me to do since people seemed to come to me for help. I finally decided that "no" is not a bad word.

I gladly hold the door while they carry everything in.

Each time I say that I get more stuff to do.. 🙄
