For me it was getting any form of kindness or love, or, having a fun ritual like making Gingerbread houses at Christmas, or having dessert before dinner once in a blue moon.

Having mum or dad around every single day rather than just during the holidays (I went to a boarding school for the children of service personnel). Two of my sisters and I now form an extended family in our town and make up for lost time by being very close to our children.

@SunshineGirl I'm sorry Sunshine, I'm sure there's many pros of boarding school but also kids do need their parents' guidance and acceptance frequently too. Hoping you give yourself now special acceptance and kindness now. 🌼 And thank you, I hope to make a Gingerbread house this year!!
