There was a guy a year ahead of me all through school with the same name and that dude was a real tool.

@BuzzedLightyear

YIKES!!!

I made the mistake of pressing the mag glass...!

Piper · 61-69, F
No to both questions. But...I did speak to someone at length, who called me in hope that I was a veterinarian with the same first and last name. She was very concerned about her dog, and was interested in my input even though she knew I was not the person she was trying to reach.

There have been some people who've told me I look like and remind them someone they know/knew, over the years.
@Piper

LOL about that first woman.
craig7 · 70-79, M
No,but there are - or have been - a few here in Australia that do have the same name. I once googled my name and discovered a baseball player in the U.S. with the same first,middle and last names as mine,but he is many years younger and doesn't look much like me either.
Surprisingly, never, in terms of the name. And the only person I met who looked enough like me to be mistaken was a cousin who died when we were teenagers. I don’t know if we’d still have looked alike as adults. Interestingly, she was the daughter of my father’s younger brother, who looked and sounded just like him.
@bijouxbroussard

You know... if we ever met (and I bet if anyone on SW met you) I (we) could listen to you talk about anything because you'd make it sound like a story that must be enjoyed from beginning to end.

I met a lady with the exact same name as my oldest sister, who had a grandkid with the same name as me.

The lady kept getting our mail.
Punxi · F
Yes.

Shes my sister. My mirror image twin.

Not a gangster...but she could answer to Swily K.

And you...prolly wouldn't know.
@Punxi

My brain's exploding imagining standing in line with identical knockouts. One ahead of me. One behind.
Punxi · F
@rinkydinkydoink Nice . J..... But we are Yin an Yang. She would devour you. 👹
@Punxi

And that would be a bad thing???!!!!

I. Think. NOT!
AdaXI · T
I've met quite a few people with the same first name but never met anyone with the same last name as me.

@AdaXI

Nor any as cool, smart, funny and so much more as you, my friend.
Here we use our first name then our fathers name right after it. In the sense I know a few yes.
GunFinger · F
Both my first and last names are very common, but I haven't met anyone with the exact name as me. They're probably hiding somewhere.
Selah ·
My first name is a rare spelling of a common name. I don't have a common last name. It was literally made up after slavery.
@Selah

You, then, are perfectly unique :D
With my first name yes, although always spelt differently
Nitedoc · 51-55, M
@Nitedoc

That is too amazing. Wow.
Nitedoc · 51-55, M
@rinkydinkydoink Freaked me out a little!
@Nitedoc

I'd be looking to see if Rod Serling was watching all this and was commenting to a camera... 🤣
AngelUnforgiven · 51-55, F
No my name is rather unique. But that would be cool.
@AngelUnforgiven

I agree.

My sister and brother-in-law went to see THE big movie at the time - The Graduate. When the 30 year old Dustin Hoffman appeared my sis and her husband turned to face one another and (as they related the story to me) both said at the same time... "Johnny!"
I was 19 then.
AngelUnforgiven · 51-55, F
@rinkydinkydoink wow thats amazing!
calicuz · 56-60, M
Never. 😎
Wiseacre · F
No, have u?
@Wiseacre

Not the same name, no. But there was someone who resembled me in high school. He had the same annoying personality, too...
tobynshorty · 51-55, F
Nah, I think that would be hard to find
@tobynshorty

You sound like it would be cool, though :D
tobynshorty · 51-55, F
@rinkydinkydoink yes it would!
hunkalove · 70-79, M
Nope. I'm the only Hunkleberry Aloysius Love on the entire planet.
@hunkalove
