Why do some people feel the need to call someone dumb

Well for being mentally challenged you sure are pretty. I kinda like that🤷

I see some really dumb things and i get really close to saying or typing something then it kicks in and i shouldn't which i do catch myself, but its close sometimes.

i think most who do that is to defend the truth and others feom ridicule and abuse

It's a way of dismissing you and not trying to be helpful.
Our family had a psychiatrist who called people crazy - it wasn't because he was offering treatment - he was turning his back.

Some folks just can’t think of anything else to say when they disagree with someone. I agree that it’s very rude.

It usually happens when you talk to a Hypocrat - at least on here - it's their way of trying to shut you up, but it's a technique in general to try and shut you up
