Authenticity is everything! You have to wake up every day and look in the mirror, and you want to be proud of the person who's looking back at you. And you can only do that if you're being honest with yourself and being a person of high character. You have an opportunity every single day to write that story of your life.

Aaron Rodgers

I wouldn't say that I am PROUD proud of what I have become. Just that I am good with it. I can see it for what it is. Fair is fair.

And, if someone were to point out my mistakes, lovingly, and I can see it ; then I'll gladly try to learn from it and grow.

I'd rather live with my soul and all it's eccentrics than be in the places of the acts that I've seen.

People from all religions and walks of life, people who profess to be good, lie and steal like it's nothing.

The proof is in their actions. Their words. Their demeanor/body language. The facts. It all has to align, and it's sad that it usually does.

The gait needs to match the tongue.

To become authentic is not easy as one needs to experience by applying theory and study the result and even debunk the theory if it doesn't work.

One has to patently analyse why someone steals or cheats or lies about. And those who profess, really profess good or do they mislead using cliche moral!

A mirror does not reflect one's thoughts, but writing does. So one must draw their thoughts out on a paper about anything and then read what they wrote to see if it's acceptable to them first.

@in10RjFox A good point.

True.

I’m very proud of who I am, but I couldn’t put 💯. To me, that implies improvement isn’t necessary.

I’m more of a a believer in continuous improvement. The Japanese call it “Kaizen”. Little beats sharing and learning from others. It’s the primary reason why I’m here.

Edit: Love your post, but Aaron Rogers is a self-absorbed fraud.

doesn;t matter anymore, at my age, it;s that;s the way it is
Umile · 41-45, F
@oldguy73 Ain't that the truth.

How we feel about it is the only thing that counts at the end of the day.

Was my gist.

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout Even yourself?
It took me a long time (almost 5 decades) but I've finally accepted that I can't change my past or how I react and it's ok to be too different.
