How scared are you?

Not afraid at all of taking chances. That's what life is about. Taking risks. Well we know better we do better. It is our choice and it is made consciously. Yes, take a risk, but think things out thoroughly and you will be less apt to make a mistake. And if you do make a mistake, that's okay, because you learned what you don't want and you can try again until you are happy with the results. Nothing has to be perfect. It just needs to make you happy.

But my heart is off limits now.

Depends on the day. Some days my own shadow scares me, other days my brain move too fast for my fear too catch up to it.

I'm way over cautious these days.

The last five years has turned the world upside down from everything I'd tried hard to nurture and grow over the course of my adult life.

And your vulnerability only increases with time since you can no longer rely on reaching the goals you set yourself let alone the constantly changing finish lines set by institutions like banks or pensions mortgage or investment holders.

I've taken a lot of chances. I'm probably about out of them. Be careful with those. Use them wisely

Pretty scared, I try though and have moments.

I’m not scared but this year has been full of unpleasant surprises and the clear signal I will die sooner rather than later. So I’m checking off my bucket list and when I get another seemingly weekly reminder of my mortality I try to turn my immediate sadness into action.

Of being vulnerable, I'm admittedly freaked out. But not of taking chances. That's what life's about.
