If you won the lottery would you keep your spouse/significant other or would you give them the boot?

I'm loyal above all else and money doesn't phase me
Musicman · 61-69, M
@11knaves11 Excellent answer! 🙂🙂🙂
11knaves11 · 41-45, M
@Musicman thank you Gent 👌🏽
I'd definetly keep him. He's my best friend and my rock.

@JoyfulSilence He already did when he married me 💍

I’d keep him. Someone would have to chauffeur me around 🤪. Kidding. One of my wishes in life is for him to never have to work again. It ties into the bigger wish of all of us living on a private island spending our days playing video games, surfing, and building sand castles.
Musicman · 61-69, M
@PerfectionOfTheHeart That sounds nice 🤗💖💖💖🤗

Don't have one. But I wouldn't change my life just because I had a lotto/lottery win. Money does not equate to happiness. All I want is enough to buy a place to live with no mortgage or just a small one (less than 25 pct of the property value), and put money away for my kids. I don't need/want bling. Even diamonds and jewellery really mean nothing to me.
Really · 80-89, M
@Musicman I was just noticing the paradox between saying money doesn't bring happiness and then wishing for enough of it to buy a mortgage-free home.
Of course money doesn't guarantee happiness - nothing does - but for many people the happiness they seek is impossible without money.

why would someone do that 🤔
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
@Musicman How mean,she sure got a prize 🙄
Jonjdw · 46-50, M
A large amount of money will definitely change a lot of things over time. Who knows what the future will bring money or not. But my first thought would not be to boot my wife.
Miklee02 · 51-55, F
He’s a keeper
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
When you know someone when they don’t have much to share but they do anyway and you stick with them and then they prosper, why would a person want to leave them after all that?
Musicman · 61-69, M
@cherokeepatti I completely agree with you.

If I win we win, if he wins we win.
Jake is a troll!! No posts either.
Umile · 41-45, F
If I had a partner, I'd keep em and just give him a glow up. Or dim down if he's already too shiny.
But, I don't, so I'd go party mingling.
Gonna be a trip trying to find a good one though.

Keep. Imagine the riff-raff that’s out there and taking a risk of trading in someone good and finding something like that.
Musicman · 61-69, M
@cherokeepatti That's true.
AbbeyRhode · F
I'd hold onto him tighter than ever, because he loved me when I was poor, and I know I can trust him with my heart.
Iwillwait · M
I am single, but I would help my Ex.
AlchemyFox · 36-40, F
@Iwillwait I second this
Iwillwait · M
@Musicman @AlchemyFox Thank you.
OverTheHill · 56-60, M
"For RICHER or poorer", I do remember saying over 33 years ago.
Musicman · 61-69, M
@OverTheHill Excellent answer. 🙂
Keep- in alignment with a biblical marriage! As much as I sometimes ponder how different my life would be would be if my family had stayed in the States and who I'd marry with my current knowledge, I guess it's still listening to my wife screaming at family on the phone in SiLozi and kids up later than me, for me! 🤭
aradia11 · 61-69, F
Keep for all legal reason's! Try to make the best investments etc. I can do some travel and other self interest along w him as well.
Barny52 · 56-60, M
Definitely keep first thing i would do is pay the kids mortgage’s off
Starcrossed · 41-45, F
I think we might stay as friends and travel together, at least in the beginning.
Musicman · 61-69, M
@Starcrossed Where would you want to travel first?
Starcrossed · 41-45, F
@Musicman Jamaica
Musicman · 61-69, M
@Starcrossed Jamaica would be nice 🙂
DragonFruit · 61-69, M
Why would I boot her? Having a large amount of money would make it easier to get along.
Musicman · 61-69, M
@DragonFruit Exactly! But, some people would.
exexec · 61-69, C
I wouldn't know what to do without her. We have been in love for decades.
IndianaJoes · M
I already gave her the boot but I'd bet I would have no problem finding another gold digger.
anoderod55 · 61-69, M
Even though we have problems . I would keep her . ❤️
Musicman · 61-69, M
@anoderod55 Money can cure a few, not all, problems.
anoderod55 · 61-69, M
@Musicman Not cure , but would help with finance/money . That would cure a few problems . Plus helping family .🙏
Musicman · 61-69, M
@anoderod55 Exactly! Money can let you retire. Lessen or do away with stress. Get all of those small and large things in the house fixed. As you said it can also help the family too. Money can be quite useful.
JoyfulSilence · 46-50, M
If I had an S.O., then with that money she could buy a lot of boots, so would not need any from me!
Cigarguy101 · 41-45, M
Yes I would keep him. I always win the lottery. Last week I won 2$
Musicman · 61-69, M
@Cigarguy101 Woo Hoo 🎉🎉🎉🎉 You are rich! 💰💰💰
Dayman343 · M
I'm pretty sure I'd move out, I am really warming to the idea of being on my own
Livingwell · 61-69, M
Money does not bring happiness. She's a pain in the ass but I'd keep her and travel more.
OliRos · 18-21, F
If I won the lottery, to be fair, I think I could afford to give them both boots.
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
For better or worse ,for richer or poorer ,till death do us part
Musicman · 61-69, M
@Justmeraeagain That's exactly how I look at it. That's why I am a full time caregiver.
Gingerbreadspice · F
If I won the lottery I would probably get a significant other.
TexChik · F
I would use it to bribe him to keep me! 🥰🥰🥰
HumanEarth · 56-60, F
I would keep her, because without her there would be no me.
I said this before and I'll say it again I know I'm the not the most pleasant person to be around, but I got the best woman who was ever on this planet to marry me. I worked at it, it was the best thing ever happened to me.

Yes, I would keep him. @Musicman
Musicman · 61-69, M
@Spoiledbrat Excellent choice. 🤗💖💖💖🤗
meggie · F
Keep him
Synyster · 51-55, M
aradia11 · 61-69, F
Cheaper to keep!!! Yes, keep but there would be changes. I would travel more on my own to take breaks needed.
I'd keep him
MrsMONAKanful · 36-40, F
How much did I win?
MrsMONAKanful · 36-40, F
@Musicman when will I get it
Musicman · 61-69, M
@MrsMONAKanful Thursday at noon in a public presentation. Make sure you look good. The media will be there to cover it. Of course you will need to arrange your own transportation to get there. Will that be a problem?
MrsMONAKanful · 36-40, F
@Musicman yes I have no way of getting there maybe if my support worker about 1:30 pm to 2 pm
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
I'm single and I didn't win the 200 million 😒
Azlotto · M
I'd keep her because I'd have to give her half of everything if we divorced...Cheaper to keep her.

Justenjoyit · 56-60, M
Do we have to wait to win first?
Musicman · 61-69, M
@Justenjoyit Nope! Your choice.
As I'm single now, I don't have to worry about whether I would or not.
