Hey Dan
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
Tbh, you spend too much time playing video games. I get that it's an escape. I get that it's a way to socialize. But, it drains away your humanity. And, it can become addicting and intoxicating. For some of us, there is no middle ground; it's either all in or complete abstinence. I fought the demon and left gaming completely (under duress, sure, but still I left it). It is tempting to go back. But, it does leave you empty and devoid of emotion. That's the classic sign that you need to put the gaming equipment away.
Set some real-world goals and check them off as you achieve them. That will fill in SOME of the empty spaces. The emotion fulfillment is a bit more complicated.
