Do you vote by mail (Absentee/Mail-in) Ballot? Applies to U.S.

I do and just realized it was time to get my application in for an Absentee ballot (I'm over 60) for November's election.

Vote! Don't let your voice go unheard!

EDIT: Please, I don't care what party you vote for and don't care to get into any debates on politics, just vote! If we, the citizens don't do our job, then we have no right to complain when elected officials don't do theirs.
I vote by mail because it appears to be the only way I can guarantee getting a ballot.

In 2016 my precinct ran out of ballots. The voter turnout was much higher than expected, and they just didn't make enough. They even ran out of provisional ballots.

I was told to wait until somebody from the supervisor of elections office got there. I left when I couldn't wait anymore. I was partner in a business at the time and had work to do. So I didn't get to vote.

I like it because I get the ballot, and return it, before the local political advertisements even start. I like it because I don't have to cross any lines of people screaming with signs to get to a polling place. And I can check on line that my ballot was counted. I can't do that will ballots submitted in a polling place.

I have every intention of voting libertarian this November, per usual. If no libertarian option, whoever will tax me less!

I've never missed a local, state or national election. Can't fathom why people don't vote. Sort of disgusts me actually.
i do .. and most of the military does also.. they are on the move.. VOTE IT IS FOR YOUR FREEDOM

Yes -- I live in a state where they make it easy to vote, not try and stop people.

No, I go to early voting locations
Ontheroad · M
@SW-User Totally with you on that. Before I was eligible to vote by mail, I always went to an early vote location. No hassles, no waiting, just vote and get going.

@Ontheroad we have a library annex location which is a designated early voting center. Happens to be a coupe of blocks from my house

I voted by ballot box in 2020, the first time I ever voted that way. It was super convenient and I'm likely to vote that way again next time. Definitely beats standing in line in the cold rainy weather come fall

No. My polling location is pretty close by. And my township is very small(never stood in a line).
However, should the time come when it isn't so easy, i will most definately vote by mail.

I always vote by mail. I wouldn't bother if I had to stand in line for even 10 minutes. A waste of time.
Ontheroad · M
@hunkalove I would disagree about it being a waste of time. Either you vote or you are part of the problem we now face in our city, state and federal governments.
hunkalove · 61-69, M
@Ontheroad Your vote doesn't matter and I doubt it ever has. Hillary won by 3,000,000 votes in 2016 and lost. All those great candidates in 2020 and the wealthy and powerful chose Biden. The Republicans will cheat in November and control Congress and take back the White House in 2024 no matter who you vote for. Money and power are all that matters, not people.
Yes, I do. I have for the last 25 years now. Much more convenient after the city kept moving the poling places for our district.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@bijouxbroussard Gee, I wonder what they could possibly be trying to accomplish by doing that. Could it have to do with certain people with certain skin colors? No, I'm probably reading way too much into it.
@LordShadowfire Actually, the majority of people they inconvenienced in this neighborhood were white.
Virgo79 · 61-69, M
I go in person, takes about 15 minutes
JustNik · 51-55, F
I prefer mail-in or early in person.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
No. Show up, vote, show ID.
Ontheroad · M
@MasterLee good for you. All that matters is everyone eligible votes by whatever means that is available to them.
Like2play · M
I always vote by mail.
RedBaron · M
I have. It's not a big deal.
Yes. Again and again and again. I voted for Joe Biden by mail 100 times in 2020.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@NoThanksLeon Oh, look. Another lying Trumpsucker.
@LordShadowfire I voted for Biden. Many times.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
I do but I don't. I use a mail-in ballot, but I take it to Sherwood City Hall and drop it off at the ballot drop box.
