Do you have low self esteem?

I used to and even though it's a lot better, I feel like a lifetime of having low self esteem results in you always doubting yourself deep down without realizing it and not being in the habit of being self assured.

I guess it will take some time to get used to not thinking so low of me 😐

It's one those things like, how do you get successful? By having confidence...how do you get confidence? By being successful.

I am usually pretty confident but there are things I am not in. My trick is to fake it until I make it. It helps if you can start to think that you don't care what others thing of you anymore.

Not anymore. And I can relate to what you're saying

The beautiful news is that humans are easy and we change easily when we fully open up and internalize something. So just have that heart to heart with the truth
I did after an injury and health issues changed me physically and mentally. Not so much anymore though, as the older I've grown, I know the best part is my heart. Hopefully you grow "into" yourself by finding self love.🌺🌿

Oh yes I have extreme self doubt. Unfortunately O read many adults who had a Narcissistic parent often doubt themselves and have low self esteem. I am working hard to reverse it but its the toughest thing I have ever done.

It will just take a little time. It takes time to adjust to any change in life, even good ones.

And, to answer your question, yes I did struggle with low self esteem as a child and a teenager. It took some time and work before I was able to see myself in a more realistic way.

@SW-User Did you do anything in particular to help you be more confident?

@Jexie I did two things. One was to work on the things that I didn't like about myself. The other was to slowly change my patterns of thought. If a negative thought about myself entered my mind, I would dismiss it and remind myself that it's nonsense. I told myself that I'm just as good as anyone else.

@SW-User Damn.. that sounds like effective and solid advice
