Ambroseguy80 · 56-60, M
I’m going with 4. 11, and 18!

Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to shut up and go speak in front of a large audience!

🫢
syfy86 · 51-55, M
Definitely 3, 5, 10, and 16

I've gotten better at 4, 7, 11, and 19

This is a cool list.
@syfy86
You explain this so well.
I think being decisive requires a certain kind of confidence to be wrong. Not wanting to be wrong, but being ready to face consequences and act on it.
syfy86 · 51-55, M
I'm going to steal this @CookieCrumbs

@syfy86
How about borrow?😁
10. Ability to make decisions based on ….

11. Ability to speak in front of large audience..

15. Ability to self analyze ….
@Soossie
Self analysis requires honesty with one’s self. By doing this, you are able to learn a lot from your own experiences and you always focus on improving your relationships/interactions with others.
@CookieCrumbs

Very true… it’s an ability that I’m grateful for…. 🌹
CassandraSissy · 26-30, T
Oooh....let's see. 2, 4, 5, 11, 12, 16, 18, 20 and 21....

Sounds like working in my company and our IT section to me! Not saying I'm a master of any of these, sweetie, but they are tools that I use during my working day.

😘
akindheart · 70-79, F
you have the good posts...i blew 10 yesterday in a meeting. I was so emotional over this claim and the insured loved me for it. they knew that i had their backs...but i shouldn't have been.
2, 8,7
@akindheart
Do you always say what you think and feel? What would be the one reason you would ever hold back?
akindheart · 70-79, F
@CookieCrumbs no not in business. never in business until yesterday. it came pouring out i was so mad. My boss had to tell me to let the owner speak. you can not be emotional in what i do. but there is big money at stake and possibly their cancellation. i sure let my boss know how i was feeling though.
alan20 · M
7 (possibly run)
15 (possibly self-delusion
17(or so I'd like to think)
Definitely cannot speak in public, or negotiate, or keep to the poster's restrictions !
@alan20
Self delusion vs self analysis: how could you tell the difference?
alan20 · M
@CookieCrumbs Difficult if not impossible. It's very arguable that total honesty is impossible when trying to dissect one's own soul or psyche. Consistency is completely impossible : I could find myself writing something here one day that on another day would completely disagree with, even to the point of reading an earlier post that I was amazed to discover I was the author of. I tend to wriggle out of it by thinking it was a fantasy, not something I'd ever want to do in reality. The bottom line is I really do believe in every individual's right to consent or dissent.
JohnnyNoir · 61-69, M
Pretty good with most of 5. 12 and 15 if I had to pick 2 more
@JohnnyNoir
Positive persistence. You always believe you or your efforts could make a difference in the situation.
JohnnyNoir · 61-69, M
@CookieCrumbs I'm pretty stubborn, for better or worse, and it's made a difference
Magenta · F
I'll go with 12, 15, 17.
With a couple others following very closely.
@Magenta
Does the ability to understand what others feel make you more forgiving or tolerant?

Don’t you feel that sometimes you don’t want to know ?
Magenta · F
@CookieCrumbs It makes it easy to relate and be more compassionate. It's part of being empathic.

But yes, it can be a bit exhausting. You learn to tame it.
calicuz · 56-60, M
calicuz · 56-60, M
@CookieCrumbs

I think so, I'm just built that way. Or maybe it comes from the generation I grew up in. I come the Entrepreneurial Age, back in the 80s, when opportunities abound.
@calicuz
Not just opportunities, but a sense of wanting to accomplish something…

The younger generation enjoyed a different way of bumping into opportunities…. Easier, but more competitive in a way.
calicuz · 56-60, M
@CookieCrumbs

Yes, I know I can "get things done," so I want to show those skills.
ChampagneOnIce · 51-55, F
For me, it’s 5, 6, 9, 10, 16, and 21.
@ChampagneOnIce
I was checking the list for your selections and was planning to reply to you last night. I thought I did. I didn’t. 🤭 I fell asleep. Now I’m trying to remember what I was about to type when that happened.

One thing about you is that you’re consistent — in how you think, how you behave, how you handle life. Your selection clearly matches how you represent yourself here on SW. 😊
ChampagneOnIce · 51-55, F
@CookieCrumbs Thank you. I’m pretty straightforward, and I appreciate your compliment!
ElegantAlex · 22-25, F
A wonderful list. All items I strive to do.
@TexChik
Doesn’t it overwhelm you sometimes to know and understand how others feel?
TexChik · F
@CookieCrumbs it breaks my heart
Starcrossed · 41-45, F
@Starcrossed
Do you agree that 15 and 17 seem to go hand in hand?

Your willingness to analyze yourself can make you more understanding of others.
Starcrossed · 41-45, F
@CookieCrumbs yeah I'd say they're common in someone with a good grasp on having empathy / being empathic.
PhilDeep · 51-55, M
@PhilDeep
Consistency can mean reliability. And can inspire trust in the people you interact with.
PhilDeep · 51-55, M
@CookieCrumbs I think being trusted is one of my most comforting likes and being distrusted, if I ever am, just makes me question if they even know me and are worth bothering with.
GJOFJ3 · 61-69, M
All are excellent
The four that have helped me most:
1. 5. 9. 11
@GJOFJ3
People skills + willingness to adapt to any situation. That’s a powerful combination.
Degbeme · 70-79, M
Where is 22? Ability to not show up. 😬
@Degbeme
The one who was supposed to add that didn’t show up 🤭
Coldplay · 61-69, M
@Coldplay
You believe in the good in others and the hope in most situations.

When was the last time your belief in others disappointed you?
Coldplay · 61-69, M
@CookieCrumbs recently I stood up for someone and got them out of a huge jam. This person took the credit when it was my actions that saved them. Tells you a lot about integrity.
Adogslife · 61-69, M
@Adogslife
3 is very important in order to be productive effectively. Also helps not to get overwhelmed.
Adogslife · 61-69, M
@CookieCrumbs lol, yeah, I’m not easily overwhelmed. 😂
Ferric67 · M
I'd say that I have all but one in my skill set
HoeBag · 51-55, F
Just 7 and 10. This may not sound real positive but I'm a firm believer that one might win the battle but still going to lose the war.

How come there's nothing on the list about ability to just not give a damn
@HoeBag
I agree about winning battle-losing war. But sometimes, that’s ok and that’s enough. We fight the battles we can win.

Not giving a damn — yeah, it should be added. It’s a skill that some people have and others have trouble with.
HoeBag · 51-55, F
@CookieCrumbs my big sister and I were joking about that once. You know how in job interviews sometimes they ask about your weaknesses? Of course you're supposed to say that you are a workaholic but my sister and I were saying the best response would be, I tend not to give a damn. Neither my sister nor I are the career driven types
7, 18, 13 when I have money
@Jlhzfromep
Good combination. Your willingness to adapt helps you keep positive even in times of uncertainty and challenges.
JesseInTX · 51-55, M
@JesseInTX
The ability to persuade and express our thoughts in words/written form is a very useful skill. That can inspire others in good ways.
lost213 · 46-50, M
@lost213
I like that you chose 21.
The ability to do that does not come naturally, or easily, for others.
@Montanaman
This combination is so you.
You have that gift.
Nebula · 46-50, F
PTCdresser57 · 61-69, M
ReneeT · 61-69, F
SW-User
15, 16 and 9
OldBrit · 61-69, M
Difficult to choose but

3, 10 & 11
OldBrit · 61-69, M
@CookieCrumbs twice in my career I was the guy who had to explain why something had to be shut down and then essentially fire those no longer needed. Whilst I can understand the facts and figures etc at the end of the process you're left as the one those dispensed with hating.
@OldBrit
Oh I can relate. I was too young (23 at that time) and too early in my career when I was included in the management team that was tasked to determine who would be let go after a merger and acquisition. It was an emotional process to make a decision about other people’s livelihood.
OldBrit · 61-69, M
@CookieCrumbs yep for me I could disassociate the emotion at one point but then it hits you as you're actually saying farewells.

In 2003 I took a department from 136 to 35 in 6 weeks after a merger and decision to cut back in our country.
Oster1 · M
I'm not going to answer because no one would believe me outside of my world and no, I'm the farthest thing from a narcissist! 😊
Canuckle · 51-55, M
5 9 15

My self analysis as takeaways for improvement 8 13 19
ronisme1 · 61-69, M
Zonuss · 46-50, M
You are good.
A very analytical, detailed woman. 🙂
@Zonuss
It’s not about me 😁

What’s your pick?
Zonuss · 46-50, M
@CookieCrumbs 1,9,13.
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
@iamonfire696
Thanks for asking. Mine would be 5, 10, and 7.
The combination of all 3 has taken me as far as where I am now.

It’s not so much a financial thing but a treasure of life experiences I wouldn’t have had, if I was different.
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
@CookieCrumbs I can see these about you from your posts and our interactions here.
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
3, 8 and 17

Also good at 5, 12 and 18
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
@CookieCrumbs My high functioning anxiety would just never let me do that, so no.
@iamonfire696
5 and 12 are helpful especially if you are tasked with a lot of family and faced with life challenges.

It has taken you this far. It’s inspiring.
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
@CookieCrumbs I have been faced with many challenges and it’s really helped.
