Why do I get anxiety in an argument?

I notice whenever I get an argument, which I try not to be. Be it on the internet with a random person or with a person I know. I get anxiety like I'm being attacked. Why does this happen to me? Is it normal?

What is 'normal' anyway? ;) Always remember that every experience in your life is helping you to become a better person. When people get arguments, it means one of them doesn't understand the point of views of the other person so it needs to be explained better so that there's understanding. We all have different point of views, and people easy jump to making conclusions. People tend to do that too easy. It's ok to feel anxiety during arguments as it, to me, means you're afraid of not being understood. Or loved. Or accepted for who you are and what you believe in (I don't mean faith, I just mean all your perceptions about any random subject). The thing is that we all have to learn in life to be stronger and not to care about what other people think about us, and to have faith in ourselves. Self confidence will grow with the years so your anxiety will fade. Consider it a learning process. A very slow one.
