I have been advised to block incomplete profiles/accounts here

The person advocating for this has said that it doesn’t take much to complete the process of having avatars and posts, that if anonymity is the only concern for the users there is nothing to being able to give others things to talk about and to use a cartoon character, or some abstract art or image to make an avatar.

She says that she immediately blocks anyone who adds her with nothing to their profile and no contact of any sort.

I've put loads on my profile.
It definitely helps reduce the number of unwanted or inappropriate messages.
It means the approaches that do occur have a better chance of turning into a conversation.

If someone has not much on their profile, I can still get an idea of who they are by how they write: word choice, grammar, degree of brevity, relevence. It soon becomes evident whether they have a good brain, heart and broad interests - which are what I enjoy most. If they don't, I don't reply. Although, thankfully, they rarely come my way, I block rudeness, users, evangeliizers and conartsists.
