That happens to me often. Its ok.
What i did find is that people don't tend to comment on long posts that require a lot of reading. Good or bad, that does seem to be the case

@TrashCat Long posts are ok. Wall of texts however, especially when the extra texts and details is not even accurate for the situation at hand, makes me very unmotivated to read.

@robingoodfellow For me personally it's not about attention span. I'm not native in English, so it's important that someone with these long posts has control on what they want said with each sentence. Young people forget the structure in their textning and it's tiring to read something that sounds like a long rant over a phone call.

You should learn to write things more compressed, make your rant posts half the length if you want people's responses is my advice.

Because of the Damned algorithm they use, that might be the reason that some post get a ton of attention and others just do not. Do not take it personal. I think the more post somebody already has, the higher their new post get pushed to the top.
The only exception to that is new people and Bots who, for whatever reason, end up with their post at the top as well
