Where did you meet your significant other?

Did you meet them at a bar? Work? School?
I'm asking because I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I've got to get off these dating apps because I'm met with nothing but disappointment. They don't look like their photos, their personality in person is much different than what I perceived on the phone or there is some dark secret or lie that flares red flags. So I guess I could use a little inspiration and advice on what else I should try
