What is the best reading device?

Thinking of getting a Kindle. I read a LOT. Just had cataract surgery, wear reading glasses.

let your eyes the next few weeks. both of my parents had cataract surgery. they'll (your eyes) need some time to adjust to daylight and reading can be very exhausting for the eyes when you just had an eye surgery. No matter if it's real paper books or a kindle. ;) Just give it a few weeks (up to six weeks).
