Should I move out of NYC?

Im 31 years old living in NYC with my parents. I want to move out this city so so bad. I've been wanting to move even before the pandemic hit. NYC is a great place to visit but not live. Honestly this place is soooo overrated. Unless you're making 6 figures, its not fun to live here. Plus to make 6 figures here, you basically gotta be a workaholic. I want to move to Ohio, I have family there and have been looking and apartments for rent. They are so affordable, I could pay my rent with a weeks pay. I am a graphic designer and my boss told me I can take my computer with me and work remotely from Ohio which is perfect. I would be giving up a lot of luxuries by moving though. After all NYC has many benefits, in that many things here are 24/7, plus there's a lot to do here. I feel it time for a change after spending about 20 yrs here.

If you have the confidence, a change can be really beneficial for the mind set.
As with any big city, only the glamorous side is shown, the extremely overpriced High Street, the pathetically high Housing/rental prices, The cost of Living is exorbitant, and will only get worse.
I cringe when I watch morning shows like Today, CBS this Morning, Good Morning America. They seem to only target a certain demographic(the well to do Middle-Upper Middle Class) and are always putting a positive spin on life.
Whilst most times ignoring the reality of the majority of the population.
Move away, try it. If it is not for you, then return.

@Gusman 👏👏, couldn't have said it better myself. I feel moving would do wonders for me. My friends that have moved out are doing amazing and always beg me to leave the city. I will most definitely make the move, NYC is not what it use to be. Thank you.
