I put my boyfriend in jail and now I’m scared

We got into an argument a few hours ago and in the heat of the moment, I called the cops. They arrested him and took him to jail for domestic battery because he choked me. I didn’t want him to go to jail. I am deeply sorry. He’s a good person and this was all a mistake. I’m scared that something might happen to him. We were supposed to be celebrating our birthdays. I came down for his bday Sunday and today is mine and I’m just sitting in a hotel room ready to catch the bus back home in a few hours. Is there anything I can do to get him out of there?

A good person doesn't choke another person, what if he would have stabbed you, would he still be a good person. It's better to put a stop to it before it did get to that point. The odds are he would have done it again, if not to you someone else

@Justiceforall yeah i don't know what advice she expected to get here, to re-enforce her beliefs that the narc is a good guy or an evil SOB that deserve jail time or even getting beaten and raped in jail by his cell mates
